As a designer I aim to create a more connected, impactful and easier to use world that is accessible to all.
I try my best to make sure my design decisions are a result of a human-centered process, keep learning new tools & trends and make the most of opportunities to collaborate with others.
I'm committed to making a positive difference to the world around me.
I’m Stephanie Schafrath, an experienced graphic design professional working on global projects to positively change the world one graphic at a time. I find it extremely fascinating to learn more about our planet and its people while creating the best creative design solution for a particular project. As a designer I aim to create a more connected, impactful and easier to use world that is accessible to all.
Relevant work experience in the NGO sector as well as volunteer work in India, Vietnam, Malawi, Morocco and Ethiopia, have shaped me drastically and provided me with important insights into different cultures that continue to motivate me to fight for a better world.
My areas of expertise are graphic design, UX/UI design, animation, photography and photo- & video editing. I have a strong arts and design background with a first-class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Lens Media from the University of Lincoln and a Diploma in Graphic Design from Shillington Education. I also hold a professional certificate in UX Design from Google.

I hold a first-class BA(Hons) degree in Contemporary Lens Media from the University of Lincoln, as well as a Diploma in Graphic Design from Shillington Education.
Furthermore, I hold a Diploma in Online Marketing from the HSB Akademie and a Professional Certificate in User Experience Design (UX) from Google.
Finally, I expanded my knowledge with the following online courses from SuperHi:
- Foundation in HTML, CSS and Javascript
- WordPress
- Intro to User Experience Design
Since 2013 I've been involved in the international development sector and gained valuable experiences in various creative capacities:

- Volunteer English Teacher in Vietnam (6 months)
- ICS Community Volunteer in rural Malawi (3 months)

- Photography Workshop Coordinator for refugees in London, UK (3 months)
After relocating to Vienna, Austria in 2018 I started to work as a graphic designer for digital agencies alongside my freelance design work.
